TrailNorth Federal Credit Union Now Accepting College Scholarship Applications
TrailNorth Federal Credit Union is offering local high school seniors a chance to win scholarships for college. TrailNorth Federal Credit Union is participating in the New York Credit Union Association’s statewide credit union scholarship program, which provides credit union members with scholarships. In 2019, TFCU awarded $1,500 in college scholarships to three high school seniors.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a member of TrailNorth Federal Credit Union, and meet the following criteria:
- The member is a college-bound high school senior at the time of application.
- The member is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2020.
- The member will be enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited educational institution.
- The member agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2021, at an accredited educational institution only.
Students/applicants will be competing against other credit union members from across the state. Applicants will be judged based upon academic achievements, extracurricular and community activities and the quality of written essays. Scholarship winners will be chosen by the New York Credit Union Association.
Completed application and supportive materials must arrive at TrailNorth Federal Credit Union no later than January 10, 2020.
